Alexandra Ramirez is a visual multidisciplinary artist working in painting, illustrations and design area. She experiments with vast range of media and also has done video work, installations, interactive art and ready-made objects. At the age of 25 she has already exhibited her work throughout Europe and attended several residencies. Her main influence comes from the cubism, tattoo art, graffiti, surrealism, digital and pop art. She's inspired by the contemporaneity and urban rhythm of life in the big city. Born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria in 1990, she's now based between Sofia and the rest of the world. She graduated with excellence the National Art Academy in Sofia with Bachelor and Master degree in painting. While on ERASMUS program she attended the University of Castile-La Mancha (UCLM) in Cuenca, Spain. She has been part of Magdalena Jetelova's (Dis)location in the museum of Modern Art in Olomouc, CZ with interactive video work. Her work is owned by private collectors across the USA, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Bulgaria and Australia. She owns the clothing line Cheese&Ashtray and contributes as an editor to several magazines & blogs.
