Last couple of years we have been actively working with prisoners. The purpose of these projects is, through observation of the creative process between convicts and artists, to reassert art as a universal means for self-expression and communication and one that has the potential to trigger individual change.
Now we have published a book that tells the story of this collaboration. We have a huge archive of photographs, some of which we would like to share publicly. We believe such a book could challenge public preconceptions toward the marginal group of prisoners. The book contains information about our projects, interviews with the artists and prisoners as well as a lot of visual material. It is published in English and Bulgarian.
